Thanks for the Memories

Joy & Todd’s farewell performance (sad, but true) with the Golden Gate Radio Orchestra will take place this June 19 at the Redwood City Veterans’ Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue and June 26 at the Burlingame Recreation Center, 850 Burlingame Avenue. Both concerts start at 2:00 p.m. Join us for an afternoon of musical delight as we play some old favorite songs (and couple of goodies we just found in our library) from the Great American Songbook -- the popular music of the 1920s, ’30s, ’40s, and ’50s. Remember these? Embraceable You; Lullaby of Birdland; Harbor Lights; Orchids in the Moonlight; How About You?; Accentuate the Positive; It Only Happens When I Dance with You; I Didn’t Know What Time It Was; Polka Dots and Moonbeams; Our Love Is Here To Stay; I Remember You; Close Your Eyes. Listen—and dance —to these songs and more as we bring back the Big Band and Hotel Orchestra era. It’s always great fun!
